July 2nd - David Whiting presents ” Building Rapport and establishing credibility with your clients”
David Whiting - Director of Donaldson Trumble Lawyers in Melbourne Australia.
David joined Donaldson Trumble Lawyers on 1 July 2007 as a result of the merger between Donaldson Trumble and Stedman Cameron. David was a Partner and, later, a sole Principal of Stedman Cameron between 1991 and 2007.
David considers himself the consumate generalist
He is probably better known for his legal advice and commentary on 774 ABC Melbourne as part of the Jon Faine programme. He has been doing that programme, and others like it, for almost 25 years.
The key to all of this starts with successfully creating rapport with your clients and establishing credibility.
We interviewed Steve Kormas for an insight into what we might expect of David, and perhaps some insight about David as our guest speaker.
Meta Melbourne: So, Steve, I understand that you have Known David for over 20 years, what would you care to tell us about him? How would you introduce David Whiting as a speaker?
Steve : Sure, David is someone I treasure as a friend and have done for many years, and the way I would introduce David is to say that David is an amazingly skilled, extraordinarily decent interesting person.
Meta Melbourne : Where might have we have seen David before?
Steve : Really, David is very well known in the broader community for his radio work every week, giving listeners the benefit of his expertise in the law and his many years of practical experience. Other people may know him from various TV appearances over the years, and still others may know of David through his many years of service to the community through Rotary.
I know David as a first class fan of technology like myself (if it’s been released, David has one and knows how to use it!), David and and I also share a passion for books (print and audio), cooking and learning. David loves learning, I think that if we could harness the electrical activity of Davids brain, we could power a suburb with it. In my experience, when David has something to say, it’s usually worth listening to.
I’m looking forward to what David chooses to share at Meta Melbourne, I know it will be worthwhile.
